Kenneth Stewart, better known by his stage name T.O.N.E. is an American, artist, songwriter and an all-around entertainer. He is one of the most promising and talented lyricists to come out of the DMV area. Born in Washington DC, 1987, the son of Charlene McCoy and Kenneth Stewart Sr. Raised by his grandmother in NW D.C., where he quickly learned that getting out of a tough environment wouldn’t be easy. 


Inspired by his uncle Van McCoy (The Originator of the Hustle) and music from other intellectual MCs such as Talib Kwali, Common, Kanye West, Jay Z, Nas, and Lupe Fiasco.  He was able to creatively step outside of the box and be more than just a “flashy” artist, T.O.N.E. is able to separate himself from some of the industry’s fiercer competitors such as Shy Glizzy, Wale, Fat Trel, just to name a few.


T.O.N.E.’s remarkable talent, hard work, consistency and determination have afforded him a prominent position in the spotlight. With his debut single “Hallelujah” hitting the streets, crushing open mics and killing local shows he has gained the interest of over 26,000 fans globally. His songs have over 25,000 plays across music platforms such as Sound Cloud, ITunes, and Spotify. His social media followership on Instagram and Twitter continue to grow daily, definitely proving why he is in the running for the number one spot in the music industry. The buzz keeps growing and everyone is asking “Who is T.O.N.E?”.


The newest member of the D.C. Grammy Chapter is taking it to the next level. He has collaborated with some of the industry’s most promising up and coming producers and artists such as Gordo Brega, Ki Mani (Singer Song Writer for such artists as Chris Brown and Brandy just to name a few) and Cash Flow (producer that works with Coli Park and Soulja Boy Tell Em). He has Proven himself to be a well-qualified candidate for the taking of the Crown. 


From live performances to guest appearances and hosting at various nightclubs such as Bliss Night Club and The Park amongst other nightlife venues, he has been crowned as the number one host in the city. His recognition has earned him back-stage access to some of the hottest events. He can be seen hanging out with some of the sultriest celebrities such as Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and Ray J.


T.O.N.E. is no stranger to the limelight. He is best known for his active activist role with the Hip Hop Caucus. He was featured as one of the 2012 and 2017 “Respect My Vote” campaign advocates alongside 2 Chainz, Trey Songz, Malik Yuself and many more.


With his indescribable style and colorful imagination, he is ready to step into the industry and make a major impact that will have the culture wanting for more.
